This is our first sea day for cruise #2. The sun is out shining, but there is a cool
breeze in the air. We have lots going on
today. Note: once again we are in the Baltic and the internet is slow when trying to download pictures, so there are fewer pictures posted today.
First, I thought of a couple of more questions that I have
been asked:
Have there been stateroom upgrades at the port? No, Mickey has reported that his ship is
full. No upgrades thus far.
Are the seas rough?
Well, I get motion sickness pretty easy, and I have barely noticed any
movement at all. The ships has had a
couple of creaks at night, due to the seas, but they haven’t bothered me. The shows have not been altered in the Walt
Disney Theater, so I would say they have been pretty mild.
The Castaway Club bag update. I found out today that Gold Castaway Club
members also got an umbrella in their backpack.
So I just need to find out what the Silver Castaway Club members got.
Passport stamps from Guest Services? No, they do not have them for these cruises.

This morning, Natalie, our cruise director, made the announcement. She talked a lot about layering your clothes
for this cruise. She compared it to an
onion. She said to dress warm, and then
you could peel off layers as you didn’t need them, thus peeling like an onion. It is definitely still cool outside.
We first have tickets to see Anna and Elsa and Olaf this
morning. I took Anna and Elsa some
chocolate, since they requested some last week, because they love
chocolate. We had a good visit and even
Olaf joined in for the fun.
Next we headed to use our tickets for the Princess Gathering
in the atrium and saw Belle, Cinderella and Rapunzel. Rapunzel was as beautiful as ever!
Then it was 10:30, so time to head to the Castaway Club
Celebration. There are 2450 guests on
board. 500 platinum and gold and a total
of 1,800 return cruisers on board!
Wow. Commodore Tom talked about
Norway (even though we aren’t going there this cruise).
We then had to hurry off to the Adventures by Disney Welcome
Reception. We have 42 in our group. 2 didn’t make it because one of them had a
passport issue (I think her passport expired within 90 days and the airlines
would not let her fly internationally.)
James and Dusty are the ABD hosts.
We meet everyone in the group. We
have just about 5 younger cruises (8-12 years of age); about 6 teenagers and the
rest adults. We are from all over the
country, Canada and even the U.K. We
get our first pins for our ABD lanyard.
Tomorrow will be our first official tour together. We are meeting at 9:45 a.m. in Animator’s to
disembark the ship.
For all the ports on this cruise you have to have your
passport to get off.
Then we stop by the room to change, as we have Palo
reservations for brunch. Alvin is our
server in Palo this morning. Brunch is
wonderful, as always.
Next, it is off to visit Chip n’ Dale in their formal
attire.
Then, I head off to change for the Captain’s Reception and
formal night. Get pictures with Minnie, Donald,
Mickey and Daisy.
Dinner is in Lumiere’s tonight, rotation menu. Strawberry shortcake for dessert which was
yummy.
Then we head off to the room to get things ready for
tomorrow and head to bed.
We will be in Tallinn, Estonia.
Good stuff, Linda. Keep it coming.
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us up to date. Can't wait to hear a out your first day on shore with ABD.
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us updated! Just one question: is there plain carbonated water (seltzer) at the deck 9 beverage station? TIA.
ReplyDeleteHow disappointing for the one who had a passport expiration issue. Good reminder to check the dates. How fun to give Anna and Elsa chocolate!
