Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!
Today is our first sea day on cruise #3. The sun is out, but it is not really warm. Suppose to be 60 degrees today. We have lots planned for today.
Here is my Disney Magic fact for the day: The anchor of the Disney Magic weighs 28,200 pounds. That is the same weight at three elephants!
First we have the Castaway Club Reception with Captain Mickey. There are about 2,300 guests on board this week. More kids than the last two cruises. Commodore Tom reports that 38% of guests sailing on Disney Cruise Line are Castaway Club members.
Pete, Faith, Captain Mickey, Elaine and Linda
Next it is off to Palo for a wonderful brunch with Elaine, Liz and Bill and Faith and Pete. Luckily, they all received their lost luggage so they have appropriate attire to wear LOL
This picture is for my BFF, Shari.....
My wonderful friend Andreja
A new chocolate mini muffin with nutella and the second one back is strawberries and cream. Yummy!
I am just posting these food pictures, because it just makes my mouth water. The new peach almond souffle is delicious. The vanilla sauce balances it off just perfectly.
For the first time, I tried buttermilk pancakes. They are now serving the whipped cream on the side since it seemed to melt (this was my friend Michael's biggest complaint). They were delicious and the whipped cream was perfect.
My fav cold soup - Strawberry Soup. If you haven't tried it, it is a must!
The Palo chef made us a special dessert. He deep fried the pizza crust and the he put Ricotta Cheese and Nutella. It was so good. They should add it to the menu for brunch would be my recommendation.
Enton, head chef for Palo and Andreja
Yummy!
We just love Klaudia too! She used to be our assistant server with Willy, but now she is in Palo. Here she is ironing the tablecloths preparing Palo for dinner after brunch was completed.
After Palo, it is time to head off to the Viking Party with the Facebook group. About 100-125 vikings showed up to party. The party was held in O'Gills.
Elaine, Linda and our friend Liz
Me and Maroly!
Elaine, Lori (who co-hosted the wonderful party)
and Linda
It is formal night. The Captain's Reception is prior to dinner in the atrium and it is a great opportunity to get a picture with Commodore Tom and with Mickey and then Minnie and other Disney characters in their formal attire. The show is Twice Charmed in the Walt Disney Theater. The person who is playing Franko on this contract is excellent.
After the show, we hang out for the Captain's Reception (don't forget there are free drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Tonight is the Art of Animation show in Animator's Palate. My favorite part is with Rapunzel and Eugene. I just love Tangled. I wish it played on the television in the room, because I would have it on every day!
And who can resist taking a picture of Sorcerer Mickey?
Tonight we are celebrating our friends anniversary. Here is Luis congratulating Bob and Dale on the occasion!
Tonight in Fathom's is Taylor Mason. He is still without luggage, but does a great show with his comedy.
After that, it is time to work on the blog, then off to bed. Tomorrow is Stavanger, Norway.
