Copenhagen, Denmark June 29 2015

This morning we arrived in Copenhagen.  The morning is overcast and is threatening rain.

We all head to breakfast and afterwards Pete and Faith are headed to Copenhagen overnight and will fly out tomorrow.  Will miss seeing them on the ship everyday.  We had a great time.

We work our ways towards Fathom’s for our 9:30 a.m. scheduled time to get off the ship.  There are about 100 of us doing back to back cruises and we go into the terminal, re-check in and get our Key to the World cards.

Many of us have brought our computers to work on the free internet while in port.  I work on the computer until about 12:15 p.m. then head up to the room to drop off my stuff because I want to head into Copenhagen to do some shopping since this is our last time here.

Disney provides a free bus shuttle every 30 minutes, so I catch the 12:30 shuttle.  It takes about 25 minutes to get to Tivoli and then I head off to shop.  I wanted to go to the Royal Copenhagen store and buy a 2015 collector’s plate called “The First Kiss”.  After buying that I wander into the Disney Store and buy an Olaf eraser which comes apart in 7 pieces and pick up one for Elaine too.  Walk through town and take a couple of pictures and even got some pics at the fruit and vegetable market.

This guy must think he is in Las Ramblas in Barcelona.

It is time to head back to the ship but not before I stop off and get an ice cream on the way.  One scoop of Lemon and one scoop of Pistachio is in order and they are really good!

The sun is still trying to break through the clouds, but still overcast the whole time I am in town.  It is a mix between deciding if it is cool enough to put on my sweater or just to keep it off.  I decide to keep it off and enjoy the kinda warm day.

I get back to the ship at 2:30 p.m. and then go the our group meet with the Facebook group at 3:00 p.m.  Meet lots of nice people that are there and the time flies by.  Before you know it, it is time to go to lifeboat drill for the last time!

Sailaway is next.  This is what the sky looks like as we leave Copenhagen.  I have taken these two pictures within 30 seconds of each other.  If you looked off the port side of the ship the skies are threatening and dark; turn around to the starboard side of the ship and the sky is blue and just white puffy clouds.  That is how the weather has been, so unpredictable.

It is off to the Walt Disney Theater for the All Aboard, Let the Magic Begin show.  Hector is Magic also does a small portion of his show.  His assistant Danielle is awesome also.  He does some great magic tricks tonight.  Can’t wait to see his full show!

Now it is time to go to our first dinner.  Seems like we just finished eating our last dinner.  Once again we have Luis as our head server, Willy as our server and Silviyan as our assistant server.  Now our friends, Janis, Bob and Lee have joined the cruise along with Bob and Dale who were with us last time.  Also Ken and Christie are on but on a different dining time, however they may join us from time to time.  So we start our dinner rotation in Animator’s Palate with “Let the Magic Begin” menu.

After dinner it is already 10:30 so we rush off to Fathom’s to see Pete Matthews for his juggling and comedy show.  Fathom’s is packed, standing room only.  The show is hilarious.  He does some great juggling, but the comedy is even better.

This is kinda funny.  If you turn on the television in the room and look at the map of our cruise, it is messed up. Reykjavik is now a city in Norway and it should be over near Akureyri since they are both in Iceland.  Oops....don't know who messed that up....(by the way it was fixed on the television the following morning.)  Reykjavik is now located over in Iceland with Akureyri.

Tomorrow we are in Oslo Norway.  This is not the first time the Disney Magic will be in Oslo, we visited in 2010 on our Baltic Cruise.  So I am excited to see the changes from when I was here 5 years ago.

Goodnight from the Disney Magic!
